The children's interest in frogs and butterflies we had seen in the garden was extended through craft activities and reading non-fiction books. Holidays and visits to the beach with their families renewed the children's interest in sea creatures and sparked fresh ideas for craft. The children particularly enjoyed freezing plastic sea creatures within a large tub and then melting the block with hot water and salt. |
